Wuxi, May 12, 2026 — Kneppelhout, together with Lexiance Partners, the Wuxi Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Wuxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade, co-hosted a professional China-EU Investment Salon in Wuxi. The event built a targeted and efficient communication platform for local enterprises seeking to expand into European markets.
Centered on practical economic and trade cooperation, investment project implementation and cross-border legal compliance, the salon addressed the core challenges faced by Chinese enterprises going global. It delivered in-depth insights into Dutch investment policies, helping enterprises formulate high-quality investment strategies across the EU.
As Chinese enterprises accelerate their overseas investment, comprehensive legal guidance has become essential for compliant and stable investment in the Netherlands and the broader EU market. In response to this key demand, the salon gathered over 20 leaders and senior executives from outstanding Wuxi-based enterprises with concrete investment plans for the EU. On-site professional presentations and one-on-one consulting services were provided for all participants.

As the core professional support unit for this event, our firm’s partner Job Bezemer and China Practice Manager Victor Zheng delivered in-depth keynote sessions. Drawing on the firm’s years of hands-on experience in European corporate governance, cross-border M&A, and foreign investment compliance, they shared actionable insights into “Key Practical Points for EU Legal Compliance & Cross-Border Investment”, while outlining the strategic strengths of the Netherlands as a premier gateway for investments into Europe.
Centered on Dutch investment scenarios, the seminar further elaborated on critical dimensions including the local investment landscape, tax planning, labor compliance, GDPR data compliance, as well as the Dutch Foreign Investment Security Screening Act (VIFO).

As an increasing number of outstanding enterprises from Wuxi and across China accelerate their “going global” initiatives, Kneppelhout will continue to deepen its expertise in cross-border investment services. Leveraging our professional legal capabilities and localized service advantages, we provide full-cycle, one-stop legal and strategic support for Chinese enterprises’ European investment strategies.
