On 14 October 2021, after nearly two years of the pandemic and Covid-19 restrictive measures, Kneppelhout Legal Seminar Series has been back on track, with the first try being held by the China Practice at our office located in Rotterdam.
Life After Lockdown
With the topic of Life After Lockdown, the seminar addressed some up-to-date employment law related issues that may and should raise the awareness of Dutch employers. The target groups of this seminar were mainly HR managers, legal counsels, and other management staff of Chinese companies operating in the Netherlands. These companies may need to handle different changing employment conditions taking place in the workplace in a post-pandemic period. During the seminar, Mr Rogier van Huussen and Miss Soltana Wahab from our Employment Law department shared their insights on employers’ obligations and experience of settling disputes with employees, based around the issues on working from home, sick employees, vaccination, etc.. The seminar was followed by networking drinks, where all the participants had a chance to get into further discussions with each other and the lawyers of our firm.
Aiming at increasing the opportunities of direct communication with various companies in the Netherlands, China Practice, together with other departments of Kneppelhout, have been and will be regularly organizing legal seminars (or webinars during the pandemic period) focusing on different legal sectors related to Dutch/EU laws and Chinese laws. In the following year of 2022, more physical events will be put on our agenda.
