Leyla studied at Leiden University, where she completed her Master’s degree in Civil Law. During her studies, she undertook various internships and gained work experience at different law firms after graduating. These experiences provided her with in-depth insight into the legal field and further fueled her passion for law.

Leyla works in the Property law and Environmental law department, where she is part of the property law team. Her work primarily focuses on property law and procurement law, two dynamic and demanding areas of law that particularly appeal to her. She has a special interest in procurement law due to the complexity and dynamism that this field entails.

In her free time, Leyla enjoys spending time with friends and family, recognizing the value of strong personal relationships and conviviality. She is interested in traveling and exploring new destinations, which provide her with inspiration and a broader perspective. Additionally, Leyla is passionate about creative projects such as painting and has recently discovered tennis as a new activity.
